Too bad, Mambukal doesn’t have an online booking website unlike the usual high-tech travel websites with reservations tool for hotel and vacation packages, cheap airline tickets or car rentals services. Mambukal Resort is operated by the province of Negros Occidental and the resort booking and reservation with downpayment is better done at their office located in the Provincial Capitol building.

Reservations and Inquiries

Mambukal Reservation Office (at Provincial Capitol): +63 34 709-0990 / +63 34 433-8516
Mambukal Resort: +63 34 473-0610

The resort offers modest lodging facilities, so don’t expect any luxury or modern accommodations here. I am not sure if the resort offers travel deals and discount for big groups or long term stay, but they do give 20% discount for senior citizens. Just be sure to present your official senior citizen ID before paying, otherwise you forfeit your discount especially if the cashier already gave you the official receipt.

Mambukal Resort is located in the municipality of Murcia and is about 45 minutes drive from Bacolod City.

Hi Chino, that’s good to know…hope you’ll enjoy your visit in Mambukal. We recently had some friends from Europe who stayed overnight at one of the family cottages fronting the boating lagoon. They had positive reviews of the resort and particularly enjoyed their trek to the seventh falls and back.

Hi Joebz! You should visit Mambukal then, being a Negrense. It’s so easy to go there. In Bacolod, there’s a jeepney terminal (not sure if it’s in Libertad though) where you can see jeepneys and minibuses bound for Mambukal. Just hop on any of them, you’ll be there in less than an hour. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the visit!

Jowie, I think you meant the tourist lodge where they have a dormitory type of room. I am not familiar with the current rates for that one. Please call Mambukal Resort to get the updated rates. Their numbers are listed above.

    • happysteps

Hello Suzette, sorry, we haven’t stayed in the tourist lodge, so I have no idea about your query. If you are coming as a group, the LGU cottages offer more flexibility in terms of accommodation (they have 4 single beds in one unit, or you can opt for queen size bed, etc.) and they’re located near the resort facilities. Anyway, please call the resort instead, the numbers are given above. Thanks for dropping by!

Wow, Mambukal is truly a nature wonder. Have just been there yesterday until today. We checked in at the house fronting the lagoon. We tried almost all the activities, the hot spring, and the trek to seven falls where we dip at the 7th falls that is truly refreshing. All of us really had a great time there and we’re hoping for more returns. Best of all, nilibre lang kami ng retired manager namin. Wow.

Hi Weng! Sorry, I don’t have any idea about the tourist lodge, we only stayed in one of the LGU cottages. The info posted here is from their brochure tariff rates. It may not be the recent info. I suggest you to please contact Mambukal directly for your query, I gave the numbers above. Enjoy your stay in Mambukal.

    Reply
    • happysteps

Hi Mel, it’s a risk kasi if you don’t have a reservation. But since it’s not peak travel season, chances are you will get a room. The resort specified it in their brochure to have a reservation, just to be sure.

hello po! tanong ko lng po pag-overnyt stay po ba with family libre na ung entrance sa lahat ng pool? ty.

    Reply
    • happysteps

Hi Fritz, if you get an accommodation, you get free use of pool depending on the number of max. guests allocated for that accommodation. For instance, we each got tickets for the swimming pool and dipping pool when we stayed overnight at the LGU cottage. Just inquire from the staff for the details.

Hi, sorry for the late reply… been really busy. I’m not sure about trips from Maao to Mambukal. Maybe there are available transpo from Maao bus terminal direct to Mambukal? Or you can also go to Bago then get on a minibus to Mambukal.

Hi Jo, you can read more info and view more pics about the family cottage here: http://www.happysteps.net/2011/11/26/overnight-stay-at-mambukal-mountain-resort/ It can accommodate 6 pax up to 10 pax (with additional fee), with two bedrooms, kitchen, dining and a nice view of the boating lagoon. The LGU cottages can only accommodate up to 4 pax. They also have dormitory accommodation up to 20 pax, but with very basic facilities.
