Thanks for sharing this blog with us very interesting post keep sharing.
oh, love the character of the city in your pictures Carey, and that cab is so unique, it is like our trisikad, but also has a casing in front.
is that a human powered tricycle? they are doing it for tourist only? it would be fun to get a ride in one of those trisikad! 🙂
Betchai, yes, there’s something about Berlin that makes it as one of Europe’s top tourist destinations. It’s a trisikad, only bigger and safer. 🙂
Tony, it is human-powered and the passengers are not exclusively tourists. It’s a Velotaxi CityCruiser and I’m sure riding on one would be nice. According to the Velotaxi site:
“In Germany over 1.000 drivers are in transit from April to October, seven days a week. Velotaxi drivers come from all over the world, most of them between the age of 20 and 30 years. Approximately fifty percent are students, but craftsmen, musicians and computer professionals have also found a sporty sideline job with Velotaxi. ´It´s simply great fun. Driving a CityCruiser is like doing fitness training for which one also gets paid´ – according to a driver the newspaper “Die Zeit” interviewed.”
Hi, Carey! 🙂
I am fine. Thanks for asking. Sorry I have not dropped by often recently. Been busy with work to browse about my favorite blogs like yours. Good photos you have here of Berlin City; not something usually seen!
