I have “played” with an iPad few days ago in an Apple Store in NY. Aside being very slick as design and having some cool features, for me it’s not an investment I’d be willing to make. I bought an HP Pavilion cheaper than the cheapest iPad and the difference is huge. I also have a mini-notebook I purchased 1 year ago half the price, with way more features than the iPad. It can multitask, it has a huge HDD for all my needs etc. We take it in all our travels since I can do all the work I can on the big PC if needed.

So, for me, iPad is a cute toy I’d own if given for free. I wouldn’t pay for it more than 50 USD.
