Special Feature: Personal insights about travel by CB

Amman, JordanHi all! This is Part 2 of the Special Travel Feature on my good friend CB, as he answers some travel-related questions.

Do check out Part 1, Jordan tourist attractions (Petra, Dead Sea, Mt. Nebo and more) by CB, where he shared with us his memorable trip to the famous tourist attractions in Jordan in Western Asia. Thanks CB! 🙂

Q. Any personal insights about travel and going places?

CB: “Before travelling to a world destination of your choice, you must try your best to at least do the following:

– Do ample research about the famous landmarks before travelling because this is one of your primary missions there.

Study the norms and culture beforehand as many countries have different ways of interaction and behavior.

– Be in good health before travel as you have to be fit to enjoy the trip. Take some extra medicine in case the inevitable happens.

– Take a map and compass with you in case you might get lost.

– Don’t forget to take along your Camera and Tripod as this pair will be one of your best travel companions. Photos are your most-prized possessions.

Be friendly and develop good relationships with the locals and tourist guides. They are your most vital connections the next time you’re around.

Pray always for a safe and successful trip. You will always need God’s help wherever you are.”

Q. Which countries have you already traveled?

CB: “I have travelled to countries as far as the United States, the United Kingdom, various countries in the Middle East region, the exotic nation of India and some spots in Asia including China. I have not covered much in Europe for the moment but I’m planning to do so in the near future.”

Q. What are your dream destinations?

CB: “I’ve always loved to visit Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the rest of Europe. On my destination list, I also have Russia and some countries in Eastern Europe listed. My travel itinerary is endless, but a nice guideline for my travel is always to visit places with interesting past & present architecture. I also make it a point that I travel to destinations with “Wonders of the World” on them. For instance, this would include the Egypt pyramids and Petra.”
