Ceres Bus Liner rates and schedule: Bacolod-Cebu and Cebu-Bacolod updated September 2011

Finally, here’s an update on the Ceres Liner bus rates and schedule for the Cebu-Bacolod and Bacolod-Cebu routes. I know this is long overdue and a lot of you folks have been waiting for an update. This is the latest schedule as posted at the Cebu North Terminal for both Cebu and Bacolod departures as of September 13, 2011. Before anything else though, here are some important reminders:

1. This travel blog is not affiliated with the Ceres Liner (Vallacar Transit Inc.) bus company. If you have any related questions or you need additional information, I strongly suggest that you contact the company directly at the following numbers:
Bacolod City: (034) 433-4993 / 434-2386 / 434-2387
Cebu City: (032) 345-8650

2. Weather and other travel conditions may affect the bus schedule posted here and subject to change anytime by the Ceres Liner management, thus if you are concerned about the exact departure time, it is best to confirm with their office and contact them at the numbers provided.

3. Route details (maps, destination ports and municipalities passed by) are posted here: Bacolod-Cebu and Cebu-Bacolod Ceres Liner bus routes. I recommend you study the route details, these are practical information if you’re going on a Ceres bus trip for the first time or if you want to be acquainted with the cities and municipalities along the way. No need to be disoriented and overwhelmed just like a newbie tourist in an unfamiliar place, being in one of those all inclusive holidays to Egypt, Nepal or some exotic African destination. Analyzing the Negros and Cebu map details and routes will make one confident about taking bus trips between these two islands.

I think that was 380 plus non AC. That was year 2009 when I tried that route. Around 12 hours ang byahe. They have AC units now. around 5am schedule

Hello Andy, that post you mentioned was 2009 yet (please read the disclaimer at the end). Our latest trip this September started at the Cebu North Bus Terminal. The Ceres Liner buses for Bacolod and Cebu routes have transferred to the North terminal already, I am not sure when but I think last year pa. So, you should go directly to the North terminal to ride a Cebu-Bacolod Ceres bus. Hope this helps. Thanks for dropping by!

that was 2009 after Nov when they transferred.

Hello Ernesto, from Bacolod to San Carlos via Don Salvador would take about 2 hours. If you’re with a private vehicle it could take lesser time. Then from San Carlos to Toledo via barge, about 1.5 to 2 hours. I don’t know about Toledo to Barili estimated travel time. Thanks for the visit!

There’s no non-AC bus via Don Salvador to Cebu.
But there’s a non-AC bus from Bacolod-Cebu via Kanlaon and vice versa.

      Hello Flavio,
Estimated travel time from Cebu to Bacolod via Toledo would be about 6-8 hours. It actually varies depending on the route you choose, via Escalante or via Salvador Benedicto (lesser travel time).

They usually have trips during holidays as long as there’s an available ferry to cross Tañon straight. Mas kaunti passengers based on my experience kasi usually maraming nag byabyahe before and after holidays.

Hi, I am sure maraming tao during the holidays, lalo na sa Holy Week. So to be sure that you’ll get a seat, just go to the north terminal at least one hour before departure. Please call Ceres at the numbers given above and inquire if they have extra bus schedule for the Holy Week.

Hi mom! You’re welcome. The fare could be half of the Bacolod-Cebu trip or at least Php200, but just call Ceres to be sure. They give discounts for senior citizens and students, just bring your ID.

hi.. may i ask if what bus schedule would trip to mambukal mountain resort or would the bus for bacolod via don salvador would pass the mambukal resort? how about the fair (air con)?
    thank you so much..

    Reply
    • happysteps

Hi Joel, Ceres Liner has no bus trips going to Mambukal, but if you are already in Bacolod, from there you can ride big jeepneys or mini-buses to take you to Mambukal in Murcia. The Ceres buses from San Carlos to Bacolod via Don Salvador pass by Murcia, just tell the driver or conductor to drop you there, where you can ride a mini-bus to Mambukal. Regarding the fare, I have no idea about that… but it should be lesser than the whole Cebu-Bacolod trip maybe since you’re only until Murcia.
