You can also visualize yourself experiencing the thrill of water sports and outdoor recreation, exploring the wildlife, beach strolling, or having fun with social activities.

A famous tropical destination such as Maui in Hawaii offers a wide range of accommodation for every tourist’s budget; from beachfront suites provided by top luxury hotels and villas, to budget rooms and apartments, and bungalows or condos for long-term vacations.

Maui vacation rentals offer the best deals

Nowadays, many tourists consider vacation rentals when choosing for a place to stay in Maui as these are mostly affordable and offer decent accommodation option. For tourists on a budget, vacation rentals offer an advantage since they already include food and lodging as a holiday package deal.

For groups and families, Maui vacation rentals offer a practical option because some of these units can accommodate more than two persons; these are houses or lodgings away from public resort areas, situated by the beach, or within the mainland with close proximity to dining, shopping and entertainment establishments.

Peak and off-peak travel seasons in Maui

Do remember that the rental rates vary throughout the year. As what most accommodation in other tourist destinations offer, room rates in Maui usually depend on peak and off-peak travel seasons, with rates higher during the peak season when many tourists come from other countries. Usually, peak travel season is from December to March, while off-peak season is from June to September. Published room rates may also increase annually, and one cannot assume that he will get the same from his previous stay.

Should you decide to have your vacation in Maui during the peak travel season, be sure to book for your accommodation months ahead. Your flight schedule should also be booked in advance to match with the room rental availability. Inquire from your travel agent about Maui’s required accommodation tax for vacation rental charges.

Types of Maui Vacation Rentals

Cottages – comfy houses, small to medium in size
Villas – luxury units, usually close to the beach
Condominiums – contemporary-styled units, usually situated in the mainland
Bungalows – native-styled houses

Most units are well-maintained and fully furnished with the usual amenities you can find in a home: kitchen and dining equipment and utensils, laundry and drying, TV, towels and linens, and other home appliances and essentials depending on the type of rental chosen. This is why vacation rentals are considered as a “home away from home” type of accommodation.
