More travel photos this time

Whenever I’m on a trip, I tend to observe things I find interesting – from building designs, roadside vegetation to the current fashion worn in the streets (especially the accessories) or food displayed in stalls – particularly if the place is new to me. While they merit being captured by a camera, I am usually not keen on taking some shots. Maybe I am more content with just committing what I see to my memory bank, huh? Anyway, with more trips set out for me this year, I promise to myself that I would be more attentive in taking pictures. And why not? I enjoy watching photos taken from my travels. The nice thing about digital cameras is that you can take as much pictures as you can without worrying about wasting film. Ahhh… the wonders of technology, yeah?

I browsed on an informative article ‘Planning and Preparation for the Trip’ from the Howto.fm web articles directory which is about getting organized and making the most of your journey with regards to shooting great travel photos. The author stresses that planning is essential if one desires to maximize taking good pictures during the trip. It’s important to do research about the place from brochures or the Internet since this will give an idea about the best scenic views and interesting subjects. Other tips from the article include preparing, packing and organizing your photographic equipment.

Other interesting photography articles can be read at Howto.fm such as ‘Getting Started in Landscape Photography’, ‘Shooting from moving objects’, ‘Making Better Travel Photos’ and more. For those interested in techie stuff, there’s an article on ‘How to create and configure ssh client’. Aside from photography and computers, other categories for tutorials and articles at include home and garden, health, food, business and finance among others. With my next trip set on May, I will surely be reading more tips on photography from this site.
