Educational travel and tour programs

Old Town, PragueAs St. Augustine said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” So true, isn’t it?

Travel is a good learning experience and it’s the best way to understand the history and culture of another place. This is why educational trips are very much part of school curriculums. Engineering students usually have technological tours which take them to various manufacturing and processing plants. These trips give them the chance to observe and discover the practical side of what they learn in classrooms. Historical and cultural tours are also great for elementary and high school students.

For instance, a typical New York City educational trip would be sightseeing and visiting famous buildings and historical monuments. The tour could include a trip to Fifth Avenue, the Rockefeller Center, the Gothic-styled St Patrick’s Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall or NBC Studios, and the Top of the Rock or Empire State Building where they can see a breathtaking view of the city below. Students can also take a ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and South Street Seaport, visit Wall Street, watch a Broadway Show or drop by museums, amusement parks and other points of interest in NYC. For educational tours within NYC, it’s best to hire reliable transportation services from bus companies such as New York Bus Charter. They provide motor coach services not just for student trips but for other travel purposes as well, such as corporate events or sightseeing tours.

When planning for a student group tour, it’s best to compare student travel programs. Most travel companies provide special pricing for students and teachers whether it’s a one-day or overnight trip. Some offer educational travel and tour programs customized to meet a group’s requirements. The tour package usually includes hotel accommodation with breakfast and dinner. A professional tour director is sometimes provided to work with the group.

    Hello Rhea!

I visited your website and it’s nice of you to come up with an educational tour for the kids. I suggest you find a good travel agent to handle your planned educational kids trip. There are many qualified travel agents who are willing to customize a kids tour for you. Great places to visit for kids are science and historical museums, nature parks, gardens and zoos.

So sorry I can’t help you with a proposal, I’m just writing about the topic and have no contact with a travel agent esp. in your area.
