When travel bugs mix business with leisure

One reason for travel is attending trainings, seminars and conferences – from small private meetings to large conferences. For instance, my first travel to Europe was because of a company training. After our classes, my companions and I would tour around the city and shop a bit or visit some tourist attractions. My officemates who were left behind would wish to have their names included in trainings so they can visit other places too. My Mom and brother were also able to visit Goa in India to attend an international business conference.

My favorite career-related seminars which involve travel to another place are those about leadership training or personal management. The lectures are mostly not just about work but more about the self and how to become a better person which eventually would result to a better employee or a business owner. Trainings such as these are usually held in resorts or places which provide peace and relaxation for the mind and spirit. After the seminar, you take with you not just the learning but also the experience of being in a different place, and that’s what travel bugs appreciate, yeah?

I wonder when I would be going on travel to attend a career-related training again. I’ve been browsing over some professional development seminars given by Employee Development Systems (EDSI) such as increasing personal effectiveness, leading with credibility, eEducate, leadership training and coaching, and other career advancement modules. These training courses are essential for companies who aim to motivate their employees and improve the quality of their products or services. For individuals who want to increase their leadership and management skills, these seminars are a must.
